July 29th - July 3rd

Christ Tabernacle is entering a sacred time of prayer and fasting as we close the first half of the year and intentionally transition into the second half with prayer, focus, and consecration. This is a moment to pause, seek God, reset our hearts, and prepare spiritually for what is ahead.

As we officially possess what God has allowed us to steward, we believe this is more than a building moment. It is a spiritual moment. We are asking God for alignment, renewal, cleansing, and a deeper recommitment to the assignment on our church.

We are not just possessing property. We are consecrating ourselves for purpose.

PRAYEr focuses

  1. Possessing the Promise Connected to This House

For the last 18 months, God has allowed us to occupy and steward this building. Now, as we officially possess what He has entrusted to us, we are praying for the wisdom, humility, excellence, and spiritual responsibility to carry the assignment connected to this house.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, help us possess what You have entrusted to us with humility, wisdom, excellence, and vision. Let this house be used for Your glory, Your people, and Your purpose.

Scripture:
“Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours…”
Deuteronomy 11:24

2. Establishing Ourselves in the Community

We are praying for God to establish Christ Tabernacle in the surrounding community with favor, compassion, influence, and impact. We are asking Him to open doors for outreach, evangelism, partnerships, and meaningful connection with the families, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods around us.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, establish us in this community. Give us favor, open doors, and a heart to serve. Help us be a light, a refuge, and a witness to the people You have assigned us to reach.

Scripture:
“And seek the peace of the city… and pray unto the LORD for it…”
Jeremiah 29:7

3. Rest and Renewal

We are praying for God to restore strength, renew joy, refresh weary hearts, and bring peace to our families, leaders, volunteers, and members. We are asking Him to teach us how to serve from overflow, not exhaustion, with healthy rhythms and renewed passion for the assignment ahead.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, renew our strength and restore our souls. Refresh every weary heart, every tired leader, every serving family, and every person who needs rest in You.

Scripture:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

4. Greater Spiritual Depth

We are praying that our church would grow deeper, not just bigger. We are asking God to deepen our prayer, worship, hunger for the Word, holiness, unity, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit so we remain rooted, grounded, and led by Him.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, take us deeper. Deepen our prayer, worship, hunger for Your Word, holiness, unity, and sensitivity to Your Spirit. Make us rooted and grounded in You.

Scripture:
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love…”
Ephesians 3:17

5. Freedom from Hidden Struggles

During this fast, we are asking God to bring freedom, healing, repentance, and deliverance to the hidden places of our lives. We are praying that secret sin, private battles, shame, pride, offense, lust, pornography, sexual immorality, sexual brokenness, same-sex sexual sin, and every cycle of compromise would be brought into the light of Christ.

We are not praying from condemnation. We are praying from a desire to be clean, whole, healed, and free. We are asking God to purify our hearts and remove anything that weakens our witness or hinders our walk with Him.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, cleanse our hearts and bring every hidden place into Your light. Break cycles of sin, shame, pride, offense, lust, and compromise. Heal what is broken, restore what has been damaged, and make us free in You.

Scripture:
“Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.”
Psalm 19:12

6. Stronger Identity in Christ

We are praying for an identity shift from fear, insecurity, shame, comparison, survival, performance, and old patterns into the confidence of being God’s children. We are asking God to root our identity in Christ so we walk boldly in sonship, Christlikeness, and spiritual confidence.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, strengthen our identity in Christ. Help us walk as Your children. Free us from false identities and old labels. Let us reflect Your nature, Your heart, and Your purpose in the earth.

Scripture:
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…”
1 John 3:1

FAQ

Prayer & Fasting is a focused time where we intentionally seek God through prayer, Scripture, and fasting. It’s an opportunity to reset spiritually, align our hearts with God, and start the year with purpose.

We have times of prayer and fasting multiple times throughout the year. However it is a practice that we should make frequent in our spiritual journeys.

We fast to remove distractions and create space to hear from God more clearly. Fasting helps realign our hearts, sharpen our spiritual focus, and deepen our dependence on God (Matthew 4:4).

There is no one-size-fits-all fast. Common options include:

A full fast (liquids only)

A Daniel fast

A partial fast (certain meals or foods)

A non-food fast (social media, entertainment, etc.)

We encourage you to pray and ask God what kind of fast is right for you.

No. While fasting food is biblical and encouraged, participation looks different for everyone. The goal is intentional sacrifice that helps you focus on God.

That’s okay! Start where you are. Choose something manageable and approach it prayerfully. Fasting is a discipline that grows over time.

Yes. Each day during the 21 Days, we’ll provide moments and resources designed to help you begin and end your day centered on prayer—whether you’re joining online or in person.

No. There will be no Bible Study or classes following prayer on Wednesday nights during the 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting. This allows us to keep the focus on prayer and spiritual renewal.

Absolutely. Whether you’re in the room or joining online, we’ve created space for everyone to engage meaningfully throughout the 21 days.

Grace is key. If you miss a day, don’t quit—just jump back in. This journey is about consistency, not perfection.

If you have health concerns or medical conditions, we encourage you to consult a medical professional before beginning a food fast. Always listen to your body and use wisdom.

Start by praying for clarity and intention. Set aside a consistent time and place for prayer, limit distractions, and come with an open heart ready to hear from God.

Let's Seek God Together

As we begin 5 Days of Prayer & Fasting, our prayer is that you would encounter God in a fresh and personal way. Wherever you are in your journey, there is space for you here.
